Surgical Guides (Stents)

Success of implant-supported restorations requires detailed treatment planning. This involves the construction of a implant surgical guide (sometimes referred to as a stent). Surgical guides are custom made to fit the patient's anatomy in order to make sure that each implant is placed exactly where and how the dentist intends it to be.

To aid in placing the implant in the most safe, predictable, and efficient manner, we construct clear acrylic implant surgical guides. These guides may be used in conjunction with either the metal guide sleeve or the Barium Sulphate powder.

Our technicians produce an individual surgical stent for each patient that will help direct the implant placement. Our surgical stents provide the specific site(s) and the angulations for the implant placement; ensuring the restoration will fit precisely superior results.
